Welcome to the National Security Initiative! Technologies with national security applicatations can be borrowed from many other sectors and technology disciplines: Energy including renewable energy, fuel cells, cleantech, stationary and mobile power supplies and storage, nanotechnology, etc.; Information management including large scale data handling and fusion of multi-lingual, multi-source, multi-format, visualizations, data mining, etc.; Life sciences including CBRNE, WMD, IED detection; Cybersecurity including authentication, identification, wireless security, information assurance, signal intelligence, etc.; Data storage and collection including location based technology, RFID, satellite and other imagery, spectroscopy, x-ray, gamma, chromatography, etc.; Facility security including CCTV, perimeter security, biometrics, etc.
We are a 501c3 organization devoted to promoting America’s long-term national security interests by uniting the power of the market to the power of American ingenuity. Our main mechanism to do so is the American Security Challenge, an annual business plan contest that brings innovators and investors from around the country together to collaborate and support the best security technology devoted to our country’s long-term national security.What are "security" technologies?
