The National Security Initiative is a not for profit organization that seeks to bring innovation to market to help secure our nation's critical assets.  Using the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's critical infrastructure sectors as a guideline, the NSI hosts the American Security Challenge (ASC)as its main mechanism to find and fund innovative security technologies.

Only through a vigilant, forward thinking and futuristic view of security will we stay one step ahead of our enemies.  As illustrated in both Iraq and Afghanistan our enemies are resilient, clever and versatile:  as soon as we develop a response to their tactics, they change. 

We must be this agile to defeat them.

From this philosophy, the NSI and the American Security Challenge (ASC) were born.  Our founders believe that as the world's greatest capitalist nation, our markets can assist and assure that great security technologies can and should move to market faster.
